In The Jungle, The Mighty Jungle

Night-time jungle cat photos taken with a motion-sensitive camera.

Note the tense muscles--what was that she heard?

Looking for the Wildebeest or maybe a handful of kitty crunchies.

I wish the paparazzi would quit following me around. A jungle cat can't hunt when she's blinded by a photog's flash.

Sigh

I See The Moon

And the moon sees me, the moon sees who it wants to see!

Even a bunny who is pure at heart and says his prayers by night
can become a wolf when the Wolfsbane blooms and the moon is full and bright!
Ah-wooooo! Ha-ha-ha! Did I scare you? I hope not. I was only kidding.
Good thing for me, it's only a half moon and a doubly good thing I have a very
pure heart. I don't want to become a big bad werewolf!

I Love Flowers

Night blooming Jasmine are a favorite of mine. Sweet--just like me!

LAPIN TAKES A WALK

I've decided to go for a stroll because it's another glorious day in paradise!

Want to come along?

Here is what's ahead of us--a l o n g stretch of sidewalk. I hope our little tootsies are up to
this!

I spy twin palm trees high in the sky. How about you?

Do you see the Magnolia tree with the pretty white blossoms?

Here is the Haskett Branch library. I think I'll come back later and check out The Adventures of

Peter Cottontail. It's my favorite story! What's yours?

Have you met my friend Michael?

We sat on the warm bleachers and watched some Little League baseball players take practice.

My heart raced when I hippity-hopped across the wooden bridge. I was afraid the troll would
gobble me up!

But . . .

I was soooo fast, he didn't even have a chance to pop his head out and say "BOO!"

I saw a little dog taking a walk, but I was very quiet and he didn't even know I was there!
(Thank goodness! He might have tried to chew on me!)

Without any money, I wasn't able to buy anything from this 'food' vendor who frequents the
park. He sells *yummy* things like fried pastries, corn-on-the-cob with mayonnaise and red icees.

I was so hungry my tummy rumbled!

My mouth watered for barbecued carrots and sprouts, but Mama said, "Not on that meat-infested grill!"

I had to agree with Mama. (She's so smart!) It did look really icky! :~(

Leaving the park, I saw beautiful red Hibiscus. They reminded me of the time I went to Hawaii.

Aloha!

When I walked past Fire Station #4, I hoped to see the firemen in action, but it was very quiet.
They must have been enjoying their dinner because the big red engine was resting in the apparatus bay.

Sigh.

Maybe next time I'll see it fly by with lights blazing and sirens wailing!

Scurrying across the busy intersection at Dale & Orange made my heart pitter-patter again.

Too many cars!

The playground at Maxwell Park was full of kids, so we stopped at Schweitzer Park and
found it, much to my delight, empty!

I like to swing and went very high!

So high in fact, my toes touched some puffy white clouds!

I bounced around in a springy-thingy
and

Went down the slide about a million times!

Crossing the suspension bridge was scary fun!

I had to be careful when I climbed the humped ladder. I almost fell through the cracks!

I soldier-crawled through the tunnel

and
zipped down the fire pole!

WHEE! That was fun!

The whole time I pretended and wished that you were with me and told myself "SOON" so I
wouldn't cry.

But, no matter where I go or how many daredevil thrills I have or how I may feel inside, I
always take time to stop and sniff the flowers.

How about you?

HAPPY ADVENTURES!!

Texas Woman

I was either thinking of someone near and dear to my heart who lives in the Lone Star State (sister Teri), or this is the kick in the bumper I've needed to get back to my writing!

May I . . .
