Today's Thought...

Self-knowledge is the beginning of self-improvement. (Spanish proverb)

Hotel Texas

Future Home of Judy In Disguise!

LONGHORN SALOON EST. 1919

Ft. Worth, TX

My new favorite Stockyards picture. Makes me want to leave California, rent a room at the 'Hotel Texas ' and work at the General Store!

As my sister says, "Life is too short NOT to live in Texas!"

Yee-Haw!

Thrift Store Summer Purse

Leather straps (not shown). Stripes in nice subtle hues: Buttery Yellow, Blushing Rose, Easter-Time Lavender, Lush-Grass Green, Deep Ocean Blue, Juicy Orange, to name a few.

Charlie - A Very Important Cat!

Another Treasure

Homer Laughlin-Small saucer found in the Fullerton Assistance League store. $2.50. Love the blue birds.

Gussie, The Alarm Clock "Kitten"

This innocent looking girl woke me up this morning with a hearty "meow!" She was sitting on my clock acting as if she had become the snooze alarm. So, I pushed the button on her head and she was quiet for several minutes.

Then, "meow!"

This went on for more than ten minutes before she got me out of bed. I like to think she was being helpful. (The alarm had been turned off--Her? Me? We'll never know.) But...all she really wanted was breakfast and she wanted it NOW!

Te Amo!

One Tenacious Dragonfly!

This fellow clung to the window frame for hours one blustery
afternoon. Burnt orange (with umber undertones) he was
quite beautiful.

Big Gray Kitty

All this handsome boy wants is his own family. There's always a
handout and kind words from me, but alas--the other human
(and two of the cats) yell at him to "GET OUT OF HERE!"
