WHAT IS AN OLDER SISTER?
A sister is a person you share a common bond with.
She knew you when you were small and insecure and she helped you move along the path of life.
She is someone you look up to and you wish you could be strong and resilient like her.
A sister is someone who teaches you how to tie your shoes and say 'insect' in Spanish or 'hairdo' in French.
She is someone who sticks to her beliefs and cooks a darn good meal.
She goes to the airport to 'collect' you and takes you on her vacations.
You laugh with her and cry with her.
You commiserate and vent and mourn the passing of time.
You share common worries about the future.
A sister is love. She is someone who saved your life.
She is someone you want to spend time with being an activist for the animals and the planet.
A sister is someone you can tell your inner most secrets too and not be condemned for them.
You can bounce ideas off her and learn from her suggestions.
She will never stand in judgment of who you are and what you do.
A sister is someone named Teri and I am proud that she is MY sister.
I appreciate you and all that you have done for me.

PRETTY FLOWERS
These flowers (found in the parking lot of the Cypress library) remind me of the singing flowers from Alice in Wonderland.
Palest shade of yellow with deep burgundy dots.
CHICKENS IN THE KITCHEN
All but the little laid-back chick (a gift from Teri in ancient times) are thrift store finds. Just a temporary home for the time being and I'm hoping my 'collection' won't continue to grow, but who's to say? Whenever I go thrifting I always look for chickens.
Which reminds me of a little ditty I just made up. . .
"OHHHH......
Raise up your glass in a toast my lass
To the little chicken fair
And hope beyond hope that you aren't a dope
and have an egg laid in your hair!"

What you're seeing is a recent purging of some of the excess plastic from my house. Since Gussie ISN'T plastic, she was not included in the give-away!
